In Loving Memory of Kira

Kira York was a 13 years old.(February 8, 2002- December 19, 2015) German Shepherd.
Favorite Toy- Nylabone
Favorite Treat- Beggin’ Strips
Favorite thing to do- Play fetch and tug, walk trails, and splash in the pool.
Favorite memory-  “Best German Shepherd ever”, she was often called.  That’s because she was.  It’s difficult to narrow down one favorite memory of her, because her life with us on earth in general is the best memory we could ask for.  She blessed us with 11 years of companionship, protection, play, and gave us lots of laughs!  There will never be another dog like her.  She was bursting with personality, pride and dignity, and when her time on earth began to close in, we did what we had to do to preserve that for her and help her to be comfortable.  With us at her side, and with Scripture reading and a song, our sweet girl closed her eyes and entered rest.  Rest in peace, baby girl, ’til we see you again.  We love you!
Rest in Peace Kira

In Loving Memory of Raider

Raider was a very special member of our family. He came to us in 2003 – a skinny, malnourished, abused dog with heart worms. After a few months as an outside dog, he warmed his way into the house and eventually our bed. He loved belly rubs, going for walks and in his younger days also loved chasing deer, rabbits, or anything else he spotted in the woods. We almost lost him in 2012 when a ruptured disc made him unable to walk, but after surgery and many months of TLC, he bounced back and lived the last few years enjoying the sunshine in the back yard and his hot dog treat after his daily walks.
We’d like to thank the staff of Bellefonte Animal Hospital for taking such good care of Raider for many years. Rest in peace, Raider – you gave us so much joy and we will miss you every day.

Rest in Peace Raider

Favorite memory while hiking a strange dog ran towards her and scared her so bad she took off running for her life! I turned around to see her running as fast as she could in the opposite direction. Her ears were pinned back in fright and she ran as fast as her little legs would carry her!
