In Loving Memory of Leila

Leila was a8 year old Boxer.

She wasn’t really into toys.

Her favorite treat was Turkey.

Her favorite thing to do was sleep!  She loved to lay on the couch or snuggle with her doggy sister Elsea.

Leila was my first dog. I have had dogs growing up, but they were family dogs that my parents mainly raised. Leila was mine. She came into my life when a lot of changes were happening (some bad, some good). I thought I was “experienced” in dog ownership, but boy did Leila prove me wrong. Our relationship was a little rocky in the beginning, but slowly we started to figure things out. For once in my life I started to understand what it really meant to take care of someone, what it meant to be relied on, and how much she and I needed one another. Even despite our struggles in the beginning, Leila was fiercely loyal to me. She followed me EVERYWHERE. She was the sweetest, strangest (in a funny way), and most laid back dog you would ever meet. I would have had Leila 5 years this coming January, yet I feel like she has always been a part of my life from the beginning. To say she will be missed is an understatement. My husband, her doggy sister Elsea, and I already miss her a ton. Leila… I love you and you brought so much joy in my life. I hope you left this world knowing how much we cherished you. I saved you, but really you saved me.

Rest in peace my sweet girl.

In Loving Memory of Sadie

Sadie was a 14 year old Beagle mix.

Sadie Brown did’t have a favorite toy, but she loved he big, fluffy bed.

She loved all kinds of food, but her favorite snack was pork skin twists.

Favorite thing to do/favorite memories: Sadie Brown loved to travel by car. She enjoyed going on vacation with her family. She had traveled to many places in her 14 years, including Key West, Fl; Portland ME; Niagara Falls, Canada, and Mount Rushmore,SD. She was very attached to her family, and didn’t like to be apart from them.

Her favorite person was her boy, Chase Forrest. She loved to lie in his lap. Her best friend was her younger sister, Sassy.

Sadie Brown loved to get belly rubs and give kisses to her family.

She liked to “speak” to her family with her friendly bark and “sing” by howling when they asked her to.

We will always remember how Sadie seemed to smile at us, how she looked at us as if she had something to say, and how she wagged her tail in a circle.

Rest in peace, prettiest dog on Mays Street. We will miss you.

In Loving Memory of KiKi

   KIKI, MY BEST FRIEND

Kiki was my very best friend

So, truthful until the very end,

Whenever I looked she was always there

Always glancing back at me with her happy stare.

She never asked me for a dollar

Towards material belongings she would never holler,

Everything that I had I would keep

While I was angry, she would peacefully sleep.

Whenever I felt lonely she I would always hold

She even kept me warm in the cold,

And that saddened day when my mother had died

Kiki was there for me, as I cried.

When she ever came in from a heavy rain

Never once did she ever whimper or complain,

To me she’d run happily without a scowl

Joyfully I’d dry her off with a towel.

I remember the very last time that I held her

I stroked her as my love I did transfer,

While this breakfast time many people were eating;

I sadly listened to Kiki’s heart, until it stopped beating.

Rest in Peace KiKi
