In Loving Memory of Jasmine

Jasmine was a special dog. Not just because she could speak the occasional English word or phrase. Not because she loved to walk around in her robust wardrobe of clothes, from Jammies to dresses. And not because she was born on the eve of Jesus’s birthday. Jasmine was special because of how much she loved her family and how much her family loved her. She loved them so much she would bark any time they left and was so excited when they returned. She loved her grandma Dr. Arlene so much she would refuse to get back on the bed unless she was sure her grandma was going to the bed with her. And she loved her grandpa Dr. Bill so much from the time he first picked her up and looked at her with curiosity, that she would sit in his chair with him every chance she had.  Jasmine also loved running through the sand at the Jersey Shore, her front legs swinging sideways as she ran around socializing with different groups of beachgoers. Her favorite toy was Lamby. Her favorite songs were the hits “Turkey Dinner” and “Soft Jasmine”. Jasmine lived a blessed life. She was lucky she found Amanda and the Basedow family…and they were lucky they found her. Jasmine may have passed away after a long and beautiful life, but she will never be forgotten. For now, she sits happily with her brother Buddy, waiting for Amanda to meet someday at the rainbow bridge.

Rest in Peace Jasmine

In Loving Memory of Oliver Morris

Oliver was a 12 year old Himalayan Flame Point. 4/15/08~6/29/20.

His favorite treats were Catnip bags his granny made for him, Yogurt, Ice Cream, and Temptations surfers delight.

His favorite things to do Eat, Sleep, and Play.

Oliver was a very unique little guy. He was more than a fur baby, he was truly my companion and with his “brother”Ernie my best friend. We were a family for almost 12 years and everyday was an adventure.

Oliver was so personable and extremely vocal. He loved visitors and always wanted to be the center of attention. I don’t remember a time when he wasn’t.

Several years ago I was cleaning the refrigerator and realized I hadn’t seen Oliver for a while, I searched everywhere and couldn’t him anywhere. I was almost in a panic. I walked back through the kitchen and glanced inside of the refrigerator (I had prompted the door open) and there he was. Being a (Cool Cat) on a hot summer day. That was Oliver, always the unexpected.

I can’t believe Oliver is no longer with us. My heart hurts because he is gone. A friend told me I should be happy for the time we had together. I was always grateful being “Oliver’s Mom” I just wasn’t prepared for that role to end. I never imagined I  could/would miss him so much. The void of him not being here has left an immeasurable void.

Oliver, until the day comes when I can rub your little fat belly again, always remember Mom loves you ….and always will! ♥

Rest In Peace Oliver

Favorite activity:  Bossing people around, being sassy
Favorite toy:  Not a toy, but she enjoyed drinking water from the cats’ water fountain, making a mess because she placed her head under the flow.
Favorite memory:  One favorite is when she was looking at the snow. She was an indoor cat who loved snow, and we used to track it inside on purpose so she could bat around snow clumps. In Loving Memory of Izabella “Izzy” Martin

Izabella was a 9 year old Olde English Bulldogge who LOVED everyone she saw! She has a 7 year old brother chihuahua named Smalls who misses her terribly. She loved to go bye bye, play on the pool deck with us and go to TN. She enjoyed boat rides and food! One of our funniest memories is that we had built a pond in our back yard and out of the blue she just walked right into it and slammed her face in the water and stayed there forever looking for fish. She was sweetest thing ever and will forever be missed. Our home just isn’t the same without her.

Rest in Peace Izabella

In Loving Memory of Mothballs (Moth)

Pets name: Mothballs (Moth)

Age: 4
Type: Short Hair
Favorite Treat: Tuna, or Veggie Straws
Favorite thing to do: Cuddle up to Mom and Dad, give kisses, and just lounge around with them. Sometimes she loved to play with the kitten, but other times she just wanted her space so she would retreat to mom and dad’s room to lounge about and wait out the kittens energy.
Favorite Memory: Moth found us, it was in December of 2017, she came running up to dad’s legs meowing and screeching at us, she was small but feisty. She climbed up his leg and into his arms, where he noticed a strong smell of Mothballs on her. Taking her inside she was meant to be there a day maybe two and then to the shelter, but she was instantly our family. From then on countless favorite memories were made, but that is where it started.
We Cleia Lovejoy and Matthew Simmons give permission to share our photo and our info on the Rome pet cemetery memory wall.
