In Loving Memory of Sophie
Sophie Aldridge
(June 2008-October 2021)
Sophie came to her forever family as an adult, after her previous owner did some soul searching and decided to rehome her because of employment keeping him away. She met her favorite 5 year old human in the lobby of Huntington Dog and Cat Hospital that following weekend- and it was love at first sight! In Sophie’s prime, she was a blood donor to dogs in desperate and immediate need of transfusions due to severe anemia. She loved her friends at HDCH so much and was always happy to see them when she visited.
Sophie will be missed for her sweet disposition, love for shared peanut butter sandwiches, obsessive need to pull ALL of the fuzz out of her tennis balls, keeping her Pit Bull brother (Kylo) in line and their naps together, her love for rolling in the grass and seeing her enjoyment of a nice breeze and sunshine on her face. Sophie will be missed by many, especially her little human and her brother Kylo.
Sophie’s mom and little human (Julia) would like to thank HOUND Sanctuary and Rescue in Findlay, OH for honoring Sophie by naming their current rescue after Sophie. Sophie passed away peacefully in her sleep while her mom was contributing to rescue efforts of another. They feel there’s no better way of honoring her memory, than assisting the rescue efforts of another and will continue to do so.
Rest in Peace Sophie

In her younger days she liked to be put in a toy stroller and rolled around the neighborhood with Haley. In Loving Memory of Bear “Mr. Silly” Bowles
Bear was a 14 year old Shih-Tzu.
He thought all toys were his.
His favorite thing to do was follow Daddy everywhere.
My Buddy. When Bear was young he loved to spin around and around playing with Tabby and Bendi. His nails on the hard wood floor sounded like he was a Tap Dancer. He loved to go car riding with his head out the window getting him a bone at the bank. Bear loved to sleep close to you on his back with his feet straight up in the air. He was a very good house keeper, if you moved his toys he would put them back in his bed. Bear would patiently wait till Mommy’s head would hit the pillow, then he would walk across her chest giving her kisses till she couldn’t take it anymore. He will be missed greatly and I wonder if the tears will ever go away? The Rainbow Bridge says so. I can’t wait to see my buddy again!
Rest in Peace Bear
