In Loving Memory of “Mr Shadow Man”

“Mr. Shadow Man” 1/28/98  8/22/2014   15 year 10 1/2 month old Himalayan. He was brown/cream in color.

His favorite toy was a pink mouse, a rubber band, (He knew where I kept them) and his catnip toys.

Favorite treat was whisker lickin’s chicken flavor, temptations cheezy middles, and all flavors of pounce.  He even could say POUNCE!!!  Spoiled is putting it lightly!

Favorite thing to do: He loved watching me get ready for work. He’d set on the toilet and watch me put my makeup on.  He liked to drink in the bathroom sink, and later liked me dipping my finger in water and letting him lick the water from my finger. He loved playing hide and seek with me, he like play tag with Cleopatra “his very best friend.”

He loved going on the back porch and setting on the swing with Cleopatra  feeling the air on his face, watching the birds visit the yard. He took many long afternoon naps on his little rug on the back porch. Cleopatra and Carlton were always close by napping as well.

Favorite Memory: I have many but some of my favorite memories od Mr. Shadow Man are: He was always looking for something to get into. He loved tipping the waste baskets over just to see what was in there, or maybe just because he could get a reaction from me. Shadow loved Christmas time when I would get out all the ribbons and wrapping. He was always in the middle of all the action, on the paper grabbing the ribbon, he’d tunnel under the paper then jump out to get me. Never a dull moment with my furry friend around.  He loved boxes, paper bags, but most of all he loved coming up the new ways to wake me up in the mornings. Knocking things off my desk, walking on key board, Click, click, click. If that didn’t work Shadow would put his face as close to mine until his whiskers would tickle my face, when that failed he would pull out the heavy artillery… Shadow would put the handle of my dresser and put it in his mouth and pull it back and let go of it BANG it worked every time.  Breakfast is served.   Loved how Cleopatra and Shadow  took their naps together and slept at night. We have a big void here at my house, Cleopatra and I miss “Mr. Shadow Man”  so much, but we will cross that Rainbow Bridge one day and be together once again.

Rip “Mr. Shadow Man”
